Statistical Forecasting LLC is able to serve the needs of established educational programs or those just getting off the ground. Evaluation of a program is a long process that goes through a sequence of four stages:
For new programs, Statistical Forecasting LLC can construct an appropriate measurement device, such as a survey, designed exclusively to measure the program's goals and objectives. It is our experience that a properly designed measurement tool is the most critical element of evaluating a program. If the instrument is ineffective and does adequately measure program goals and objectives, all collected data will be worthless. In addition to surveys, programs can be evaluated using on-site interviews and focus groups. Tests can also be developed or evaluated by analyzing the psychometric properties of the instrument.
Whether the program is new or established, Statistical Forecasting LLC can devise an effective sampling strategy for large scale projects to save on the cost of evaluating every participant in the program. Systematic random sampling, stratified sampling, and cluster sampling are examples of some of the sampling strategies previously employed.
Data CollectionOnce data is collected, Statistical Forecasting LLC enters the data into a database so that queries can be performed. Descriptive statistics are tabulated and more complex statistical analyses are performed using SPSS.
A report, which summarizes the results of the program evaluation, is then constructed. Contents of the report include:
